Wow...it's been a very long time since I've posted anything on here. Let me see if I can summarize things from the past year. We got married, I got my teaching contract, David resigned at his job to start on his M. Div. I had a summer off (and read 16 books). We celebrated our 1st anniversary. We thought of buying a house....met with the bank...and set that idea aside for a year or so. I went back to work and got another D contract for this year....and that's that.

8 Days left!

Yup, the title is right....there are only 8 days left until the big day. We have most everything done...only a few of the smaller things and even less of the larger things are left to be done. Unfortunately, some of these things rely on others so that they can be properly completed. Sigh.

We are anxiously awaiting Sunday....it's our day off from all things wedding...and a day to soak up some sunshine at the beach. Yup...sand, surf and dead sea things..it's going to be a great day!

39 Days!

Only 39 days left till the big day. The plans are falling into place. The rings are bought, the dress is being altered (I'm short), the girls are getting ready, appointments are being made to beautify Shan and I. Yup, things are working together quite well. David and I made favors the other night...and we discovered that we need to make more (great mother of pearl....where did all the people come from??)

We are really excited that the day will soon be here..yeah!!

And the adventure continues...

So this week has been March Break............and it's almost over. David and I have managed to get some wedding things done. We bought flowers last weekend for the wedding. We feel that purchasing artificial ones is a much better and economical way to do it. No, I haven't been buying the ones that look fake...we've managed to get some really nice ones 1/2 price. Thank you Michaels! We also picked up some things to help decorate the invitations if our wax seal idea falls through again. Things are coming together nicely. The napkin rings are almost done. My hair comb is coming along as are the paper flowers I am learning to make. I think after I am done with them, I'll leave the rose creating to God and Martha Stewart (not that they are the same, but much better than I). The guest list is finalized and the address labels will be starting very soon. We are also really glad to be still wayyyy under budget.

David is still working madly on his Thesis....with it coming together. I'm enjoying my week off from work, and after managing to go into the ditch today, I am now ready to go back to work.

Till next time.

Happy Valentine's Day and Snow Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I know it's an early greeting, but I'm pretty sure I won't have a snow day tomorow to officially welcome in the day on the Blog.

Wedding plans are continuing. We have our MC for the evening, our cake and a new plan for the reception. I have once again chosen a new maid (matron) of honor due to the fact that Lisa is due (literally) around the wedding date.

David is still trudging along with his Thesis and other school work. And I am starting to get into the flow of teaching Kindergarten. Our Valentine's day plans have been put on hold due to another winter storm. Since I don't feel like getting stuck in the snow or ditch, I'm going to stay home and we'll go out on Friday night instead.

Guess that's pretty much all for now. Till next time.

Another snowstorm...another post

Yes it has been a long time...wayyy toooo long.

Sylvia and I made some pewmarkers over the Christmas break. Little things have been done here and there...and we are almost at the 6 months mark! So many things to do...so little time. We are both beginning to feel the pressure.

Shan and Dan were married a few weeks ago...it was very nice.

David had I had a great Christmas break and now we are both back to stuides and thesis (David) and teaching kindergarten (me). Things are busy, but good.
